The area where the retreats are held takes its name from its symbol, Mt. Daigenta (1598m), known as the Matterhorn of the Orient because of its shape. At the foot of the mountain is Lake Daigenta, a lake created by damming the Daigenta River, which has prevented the major floods which used to bring great hardship to the area in the past. The area is now a popular one for walking and paddle sports. The local spring water from the abundant snowmelt that seeps into the ground supplies the people and the land, and nurtures the delicious vegetables and rice grown here.
This retreat is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the total experiencing of this fascinating area, its rich history, the lives of its people, its natural beauty and the water that nurtures life here. A sensory journey of self-rediscovery.
*All activities on this retreat will be conducted in English.
